Have things got so bad... have we sold off all our wealth... and north sea oil.... and pride... so that we have to go shamefully begging to the Chinese. "Oh please give us your money"... "Oh please let us get more in debt to you".... "Oh please own our Nuclear industry, roads, hospitals, high-speed rail to bail us out of the disaster we have created".
I feel dirty listening to it on the radio. It's not 'business'. It's begging. China still have a long way to go before we hand them the keys to our country. It will pitch us against the USA - who are wary - especially with the Japanese territorial issue going on. And China is still a country "on the take"... it's not recipricating in any way as far as I can see.
They are like the Borg... They have done it with manufacturing. Now they will do it with 'knowledge'.... The Chinese see us as a place to learn. Then absorb that knowledge... then throw us away.
When will politician learn. We need tough government. We need to rise up... not bow down... It's humiliating. The whole of the EU must be laughing at our shameless whoring... and they will find it hilarious when all our trains, boats, plains, hospitals, towns and cities get renamed to Chinese names... and we are just a province of the new Chinese economic empire.
